India skipper Virat Kohli has confirmed his availability for the final test against South Africa in Cape Town. Kohli missed the second Test owing to a back spasm. However, he is for and raring to go. The skipper attended the pre-match press conference and shed light on many aspects while also confirming his availability for the game. Virat also confirmed that Mohammed Siraj won't be playing the deciding test owing to a hamstring injury." I am absolutely fit but Siraj is not 100 percent fit and we don't want to risk a fast bowler not being 100 percent fit so ya," said Virat in the press conference.

Meanwhile, Virat also spoke on his lean patch. Kohli has been going through an extended lean patch. The batter is averaging less than 40 since 2019 and has not scored a century in any format of the game. However, Virat didn't sound too concerned about the same. "It's not the first time. England 2014 is one of those phases. I don't look at myself from the lense that the outside world looks at me as. In sport sometimes things don't go as you want but as a batsman I have been involved in important partnerships when the team needs me. I am in a position where people will judge me but I don't look at myself like that," Virat added.

Virat also spoke on missing out on the second test and said that as a player you always want to play but injuries are part and parcel of a sportsperson's life and one cannot run away from them. "Aap guilty feel karte ho ki aise kaise ho gaya. Bahut ajeeb si feeling hoti hain par aapko reality dikhata hain ki aap ek insaan hain and you can get injured," Virat said in Hindi

Virat Kohli also analysed KL Rahul's captaincy and said he was impressed by his moves. "He was very balanced in his captaincy. His plans and field placements were such that he was trying to get wickets in the second innings.
