S Sreesanth, who faced a seven-year ban, is now available to buy in the Indian T20 League mega auctions. Bangalore will host the mega auction on the 12th and 13th of February. Sreesanth is one of the 590 players shortlisted from the list of 1214 players to go under the hammer.

The right-arm pacer was banned in 2013 after an alleged spot-fixing scandal during ITL involving a few other players from Rajasthan. The lifetime ban was shortened to seven years by the Kerela Supreme Court which ended in 2020.
He returned to play for Kerela in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in 2021. He took four wickets in the five matches that he played. Sreesanth registered himself in the ITL 2021 as well, but could not make it to the final list of players.
He was a part of the Indian team in the two major World Cup wins, 2007 and 2011. In the 20-20 T20 World Cup final in 2007 and took the catch of Misbah-Ul-Haq to in the last over to seal the game.
In the 44 ITL matches, Sreesanth has 40 wickets to his name. He bowled with an economy of 8.14, which is not the best in T20 cricket. He also has played 10 international T20s picking 7 wickets at an economy of close to 8.5.
