English cricketer, Jos Buttler has been in the form of his life. He is wreaking havoc in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League 2022. On Friday, once again, Buttler smashed the ball right, left and centre and also brought up his third century in the ongoing edition. The England cricketer reached the milestone while opening the batting for Rajasthan against Delhi.
He didn’t start the innings too well. Buttler struggled to get his timing right in the first five overs of the innings. Rajasthan had only managed to score 29 runs in the first five overs. However, the England wicket-keeper batter then decided to switch gears, hitting two sixes to Khaleel Ahmed in the 6th over.
The 31-year old cricketer didn’t look back from there on and smashed every bowler out of the park. Be it Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur or Axar Patel, Buttler didn’t spare anyone. He brought up his century by pushing a full delivery to long-on and stealing two runs off Khaleel Ahmed in the 16th over of the innings. Buttler got out after scoring 116 runs in 65 balls, a knock which was laced with 9 fours and 9 sixes.
Buttler has now scored three centuries in just seven matches. Virat Kohli, currently, holds the record for hitting the most number of centuries in a single edition of the Indian T20 League. He hit 4 centuries in the 2016 edition of the tournament. Buttler already has hit 3 tons in 7 games and is likely to break Virat’s record of four tons in a single season.
Given the way he is striking the ball at the moment, he might even break Virat Kohli’s record of most runs in a single edition of the Indian T20 League. Buttler’s century has, once again, helped the team reach a formidable score on the board.
Rajasthan have posted 222 runs on the board at the end of the first innings. Buttler’s heroic performances have helped Rajasthan perform well this season. The fans on Twitter were left in awe after witnessing Buttler’s third century in the ongoing season. Here’s a look at the best reactions.

Back-to-back tons and his third hundred in this IPL season already. He had no T20 hundreds a year or so ago, he has FIVE in the format now. He's on a completely different level 👏#IPL2022
Dear Jos Buttler

Can you please stop making batting look so easy, it's embarrassing for most other batters in the world.
Thanks
😂😂
Jos Buttler is having a six-hitting net out there.

Difficult to choose which is the best shot of the lot. Short-arm jab and a six.
Those wrists...
If not jos buttler this season, then no body could break Virat Kohli 's 973 runs record. pic.twitter.com/YSp6dpIM3c

You shouldn't be allowed to be this consistent in T20 cricket. Illegal batting from Jos Buttler#DCvsRR
