'Rishabh pant ab laut aao'- Fans react as Adam Gilchrist lauds Rishabh Pant for his impact in cricket

Rishabh Pant was recently sweating it out at the National Cricket Academy. He also played in a local cricket match.

Rishabh Pant has been an impact player for India in all three formats over the years. Pant's aggressive mindset and attacking batting has been a breath of fresh air to the Indian side. Pant has been the blue-eyed boy in his six-year stint for the Indian team, In December 2022, he met with a near-fatal car accident when he was travelling from Delhi to Roorkee.

Pant is doing his rebab at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Adam Gilchrist who is a huge fan of Rishabh Pant lauded his attacking brand of cricket. "I think Rishabh has inspired a lot of wicket-keeper batters around the world to play that way (he does). It is fascinating for such a young man to have such an impact that Rishabh has had and others are responding and playing in that positive manner,"  he told Press Trust of India (PTI).

In place of Pant, Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul have kept wickets for India at different times and have done a reasonable job. Kishan has also been batting in a dual role in the top or the middle order recently according to the requirements of the team. Rahul scored a magnificent hundred against Pakistan in Asia Cup 2023 on his comeback.

"They (India) are well stocked. They have got a couple of options there, obviously when KL was out with his injury, Ishan Kishan took his opportunity and played really well and now they find themselves in the team together so that's a wonderful case of taking an opportunity," Gilchrist added. he also was all-praise for Kishan who has delivered some very good performances for India.

When asked about predicting the semi-finalists for the 2023 World Cup, pat came the reply, "I think India and Pakistan could feature in the semi-finals, Australia and England are another two teams," The former wicketkeeper batter said he is very positive about Australia doing well against India in the upcoming ODI series.
