The wait for fans to see Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in India colors won’t be that long. India’s next ODI series will be in January next year, when they host New Zealand for three ODIs and five T20Is.

The T20I series against South Africa will conclude on December 19, and the team will have a rest of 22 days before facing New Zealand for the first ODI on January 11 at the BCA stadium in Vadodara. The 2nd and 3rd ODIs are scheduled on January 14 and 18.

Before the New Zealand series, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will also be in action in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025 one-day domestic tournament. Virat Kohli has agreed to play three matches for Delhi in the VHT 2025, while Rohit Sharma will play for Mumbai, but the number of matches is not confirmed.

Coming to the South Africa ODIs, Virat Kohli shined with 135, 102, and 65*, hitting 302 runs in three matches, and was named the Player of the Series. Rohit Sharma made two half-centuries, including 75, and a total of 146 runs in three ODIs.
