Sir Don Bradman is unarguably the greatest player to have played cricket. Even after all these years, he is widely celebrated and appreciated for his unmatched achievements. However, on this day, i.e. February 25, the world lost its "Don". Popularly known as The Don, Bradman hailed from Cootamundra, New South Wales. He made his debut in 1928 and played his last game in 1948. Today, we shall be taking a look at five records by Don Bradman which may never break

1) Most runs against a single opposition

As Bradman loved playing against England, his record against the Brits is sensational, to say the least. He has scored 5,028 runs against England and that too in 37 Tests. Only an unreal talent could recreate this feat.

2) Most centuries against a single opposition

Alongside the runs, Bradman has also scored the most number of hundreds against England. The legend has scored 19 centuries against England in the Ashes series. The next best is Sunil Gavaskar, with 13 hundreds against West Indies. Thus, it is highly unlikely that any batter will better Bradman's record.

3) Highest batting average

This has to be his most prominent record. One of the major reasons why the Aussie is rated so highly is his unreal batting average. In 52 Tests, Bradman averaged 99.94. It is to be noted that he would have averaged over 100 if he could have scored more than four runs in his final game, but alas, he was dismissed for a duck.

4) 300 runs in a single day

Despite playing just one format, Bradman knew how to accelerate the innings. Thus, he has scored 300 runs in a day as well. During a Test against England at Leeds, the Aussie scored 309 runs in a single day and was dismissed for 334 on the other day.

5) Fastest to thousands

What the likes of Steve Smith and Virat Kohli are doing today, he did it before them. The right-handed batter was fastest in reaching multiples of 1000 Test runs. Bradman scored 1000 runs in 13 innings, he then took 22 innings to reach 2000 runs, 33 innings to 3000, 48 innings to 4000, 56 innings to 5000 and 68 innings to 6000.
