'Reason for watching cricket' - Cricket fraternity celebrates Sachin Tendulkar's 49th Birthday

Sachin Tendulkar is unarguably one of the greatest players to have played cricket. Not many athletes can match the aura of the legend. Due to his records, achievements and stature, he has several devotees across the globe.

There is a reason why he is called the "God Of Cricket". It is safe to call him an inspiration. As a matter of fact, several players themselves started playing the game after watching him. It is to be noted that Tendulkar represented India for 24 years. He played 200 Tests, 463 ODIs and one T20I.

In the process, he went on to attain almost every record. Not only has he scored the most number of runs in international cricket, but he has also scored the most number of centuries as well. The "Master Blaster" has scored as many as 100 centuries. However, more than his hundreds, it is his success story that draws everyone's attention towards him.

It is to be noted that Tendulkar came from a very humble background, and is still one of the most humble cricketers ever. Thus, the whole world celebrated his 49th birthday. April 24 is considered to be a festival in India as it happens to be the day the legend was born.

Both, Indian cricketers, as well as the overseas cricketers, dismayed their inner Tendulkar fan. Despite retiring from the game in 2013, people still love and respect him.
