‘Rapist ko kya motivate karna, Isko bhi boycott karo!’ - Fans slam Mohammad Rizwan for visiting Rape accused Sandeep Lamichanne in Nepal

Sandeep Lamichhane got accused of raping a 17-year-old minor on 21 August last year. But, he was released on bail on 13 January by Patan High Court. Now, photos have gone viral where Mohammad Rizwan was seen visiting Nepal to meet the Nepal cricketer. Lamichanne faced an allegation of sexual assault by a minor.

Then, Nepal Police have their radar on the player for initiating a process to issue an Interpol warrant for his arrest. However, Lamichanne is planning to make a comeback in cricket. Nepal are going to host a triangular series under the World Cup League 2 in Kirtipur. The tournament will run from 14 February to 21 February 2023, featuring Namibia and Scotland.

But, fans have raised their voices to keep him out of any action after such an allegation. Now, fans were not happy to see Mohammad Rizwan visiting the Nepal cricketer. On 6 February 2023, Rizwan met the rape-accused Sandeep Lamichhane. He also met Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) President Chatur Bahadur Chand on 5 February, evening. The main discussion was about the growth of cricket in Nepal. As said by My Republica, Nepal, Chand said: "Rizwan said that he came to see Sandeep as he could not go out of the country." Meanwhile, Mohammad Rizwan and Sandeep Lamichanne share a common connection.

The same sports management company, Saya Corporation represents these players. Regarding Lamichanne’s return, Chand said to AFP: "The board had taken disciplinary action against him and suspended him. The new decision to lift the suspension will allow him to play games." Mohammad Rizwan is currently busy playing the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League for Comilla Victorians. He has scored 316 runs in eight innings, at an average of 63.20. Rizwan has already managed four fifties so far. As of now, Rizwan has played 159 international matches for Pakistan across all three formats.
