On May 22, Saturday, Zimbabwe cricketer Ryan Burl took social media by storm as he shared his misery of wearing torn shoes due to lack of resources and sponsorship. Burl is a notable name in the Zimbabwe cricket fraternity. Thus far, the 27-year-old has played three Tests, 15 ODIs, and 25 T20Is, in which he scored 660 runs and scalped 18 wickets.

Burl posted a picture of his torn shoes on social media while requesting a sponsor for Zimbabwe team. “Any chance we can get a sponsor so we don’t have to glue our shoes back after every series @newbalance @NewBalance_SA @NBCricket @ICAssociation,” the all-rounder tweeted.

The tweet by the Zimbabwe cricketer caught the attention of a lot of people and they showed their sympathy with Ryan. Meanwhile, the renowned sports brand, Puma also noticed the tweet and via Twitter assured the player that they will sponsor him.

In the latest development, it is learned that Puma has signed Ryan Burl as their brand ambassador. Notably, Puma is endorsed by some of the legends of the game including Indian skipper Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, KL Rahul, and many more. The 27-year-old also expressed his gratitude to all the cricket fans for lending a helping hand.

“I am so proud to announce that I’ll be joining the @pumacricket team. This is all due to the help and support from the fans over the last 24 hours. I couldn’t be more grateful to you all. Thanks so much, @PUMA,” Buryl tweeted to break the news of signing a contract with Puma Cricket.
