'Pujara injure krde Smith ko' - Fans react as Cheteshwar Pujara and Steve Smith bat together for Sussex ahead of Test Championship final

The much-awaited Test Championship final will take place on June 7 this year between India and Australia at The Oval. Both teams have performed well during 2021-23 in the longest format and they will be against each other in the final dance. However, this is the second consecutive time that the Indian team have qualified for the Test Championship final after getting beaten by New Zealand in 2021.

Meanwhile, ahead of the clash, Indian veteran Test batter Cheteshwar Pujara was seen playing with former Australian captain Steve Smith for Sussex against Worcestershire in County Cricket. Reportedly, both are preparing for the Test Championship final. However, it was a great sight for the fans to watch both Test veterans playing together.

However, ahead of that, Smith talked about playing with Pujara and he revealed how it will help both of them to play together and learn something from each other. He also heaped praise on Pujara and said that he has scored a lot of runs against Australia. Meanwhile, the fans are eagerly waiting for the clash and are hoping that India would win the final this time.

"The day I don't want to keep getting better and learning is the day I would probably call it quits. I am keen to play with Puj (Pujara) as well. I have played against him a lot, seen him score a lot of runs against me. Hopefully, we can spend a bit of time together in the middle and learn more about each other."

He was also asked how would it be playing with Pujara and then against the Indian batter in a space of days. "You are playing for the same team, have seen that for years playing the IPL While you are playing with each other you try as hard as you can have to success as a team and we will take care of their rest later on," Smith was quoted as saying by Ndtv Sports.
