Amidst the uncertainty surrounding the second leg of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the franchises owners met in an online session to discuss the further course of action for the lucrative league.
During the session, the PCB pushed Pakistan's departure to England by two days and the team will now board the flight to the UK on May 25, a day after PSL culminate. The schedule for the remaining matches of PSL will be released shortly. It is also learned that under the new schedule, the number of doubleheaders will come down to three.

The franchises also updated about the 16 production crew members, who are isolating in Dubai. A decision to allow them to resume work from June 5 will be taken by the NCEMA later today. Further, the franchises appreciated the PCB for their continuous effort to make the PSL resumption possible.
It was also revealed that Quetta Gladiators' skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed and six others have landed in Abu Dhabi and are under isolation. Also, the quarantine of those who arrived on charter flights from Pakistan will end today. Islamabad United and Lahore calendars will be allowed to train at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium tonight.
PCB has faced several hardships in resumption of the PSL. But they kept on trying and made it possible. The Board would have suffered a massive financial loss had they not completed the tournament this year. Since the PCB is bearing all the expenses of UAE, the board will deduct 10 percent from the profit made by the franchises to ease out the load. The franchises have also agreed for the same.
