Quetta Gladiators managed to put an end to their losing streak and sneaked in a victory against Lahore Qalandars, thereby keeping their hopes alive in the tournament. But the qualification is still an uphill task for Sarfaraz and his men as even a single loss will knock them out of the competition. They will be up against Multan Sultans, another team that’s struggling in the bottom half of the table. However. Multan Sultans have done exceedingly well in the UAE leg of PSL and won both their games.

A crushing win over Peshawar Zalmi has also boosted Multan's net run rate. Mohammad Rizwan is in staggering form and smacked a blistering 82 against Peshawar. In addition, they have Rille Roussouw, Shimron Hetmyer, Khushdil Shah to bolster the batting. However, their consistency will always be in question. Overall, their batting lineup is a hit or miss sort of thing. They can chase even the stiffest of targets but can also crumble like a pack of cards. The bowling, however, looks stable with plenty of experience in Sohail Tanvir, Shahnawaz Dhani, Imran Khan and Imran Tahir.

Quetta Gladiators are a sinking ship. However, the win over Lahore has given them a ray of hope. Weatherald, Sarfaraz and Azam Khan scored some runs in the last game but none of them played a long enough inning. However, the bowlers were exceptional and helped Quetta bag a victory. One would still feel if Quetta has to continue their winning run, they will need to perform better with the bat.

Someone from the top order has to take the responsibility to play through the innings while others can revolve around him. Also, players should not be satisfied with the 20s and 30s and should aim for a longer inning.
