PSL 2025: Who is Multan Sultans captain?

Probably the most consistent side in the Pakistan Super League in the last three years, Multan Sultans have been putting on a good show. They have been playing the finals of the tournament regularly from the last three editions, however have been unable to turn it into a championship victory.

Shoaib Malik captained the team in its inaugural season back in 2018. Haider Azhar was named general manager of cricket operations, Nadeem Khan was named team manager, and Tom Moody and Wasim Akram were named head coach and director, respectively.

With four wins, five losses, and one draw, the team ended fifth in the league standings despite winning its opening game against the reigning champions, Peshawar Zalmi, by seven wickets. This ultimately led to them failing to qualify for the playoffs in their first season.

Andy Flower was appointed head coach and Shan Masood was selected team’s second captain before the 2020 season. After winning the group, the team advanced to the competition's playoffs for the first time. They finished third overall, lost both of their playoff games and missed the tournament final.

In the 2021 season, Mohammed Rizwan was appointed the skipper of the team and he took the team to greater heights from there. The team went on to win the championship the same year and from the 2022 season to the previous season, they have constantly been the runners-up.

The team would be hoping to put up the game they have been playing for some years now, although they would be looking to better the results this time and be crowned the champions for the second time.
