The five-time champion Mumbai Indians strengthened their playoff hopes by defeating the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) with an emphatic eight-wicket victory on the same dramatic Sunday evening. The fate of the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, was anxiously awaiting the conclusion of the RCB’s match against GT. Unluckily, Gujarat won, effectively clearing the way for MI to go to the playoffs.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) and the powerful Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will now square off in Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium in the Eliminator. Notably, the Mumbai Indians’ playoff berth is significant because it is their first since winning the IPL title in 2020.
