Both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have started the ongoing IPL with some good consistency. LSG have won three out of four games while CSK have won two out of four games. However, MS Dhoni and his men won the game against LSG also when they met on 3 April in Chennai.

But, now, it seems that an image has gone viral where LSG’s Romario Shephard was seen with CSK skipper MS Dhoni. Both were in with smiling faces. But, a Twitter page named Caribbean Cricket Podcast shared the same image with a caption: “Great to see Romario Shepherd taking time out to meet with his fans @IPL”. Seeing that captain, it was evident that the page took a dig at Dhoni by calling him a fan of Shephard.

Speaking of the match, CSK batted first and scored 217 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. Ruturaj Gaikwad was the highest run-scorer with 57 runs off 31 balls, including three fours and four sixes. MS Dhoni played a short but impactful knock as he scored 12 runs off three balls, including two sixes. In reply, LSG scored only 205 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. So, CSK won the match by 12 runs. Moeen Ali won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. 

After the match, the CSK skipper shared his views and said: "It was a terrific game, high-scoring game. All of us were thinking how the wicket will be. We had that doubt. It was a high-scoring game. Overall I think it was a perfect first game that happened and it was a full house for the first game in 5 or 6 years since we've been here. I thought it will be much slower. It was a wicket where you could score runs but overall it got a bit slower. We'll have to see how it plays over the next six games at home but hopefully we can score here. It's the fast bowling that will need to slightly improve and bowl according to the conditions.”
