This meant that KL Rahul had to shoulder responsibility as the stand-in skipper.

However, this is not the first time KL Rahul has undertaken the captaincy role. He has been a stand-in skipper many times. Not to forget, he also acts as the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants, a franchise of the coveted Indian Premier League.
