Notably, Rizwan had also produced a record-breaking knock and partnership with his skipper Babar Azam in the 20-20 World Cup 2021 against India. The pair single-handedly managed to chase the target of 152 runs without losing any wickets.

Recently, the Peshwar batter has also talked about the treatment they received in Pakistan back in the time when they visited after defeating India.

“When we won against India, that time, I thought it was only a match for me. It was because we won that game easily. But when I came to Pakistan, I realized how much it meant. Whenever I went to a shop, they won't take money from me. They would say, 'you go, you go. I won't take money from you!," said Rizwan to Mike Atherton on SkySports.

“People would say, 'everything is free for you here. This is the love from all of Pakistan after that match," he added later.

Currently, Rizwan is in action during the ongoing three-match Test series against England. The visitors have already taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the Test series. Both teams will now lock horns in the third and last of the three-match Test series. The national stadium of Karachi will host the final fixture of this series between Pakistan and England.

Following the conclusion of the Test series, Pakistan will host New Zealand for two Tests starting from the 26th of December later this month.
