The three lions completely outplayed the men in blue in the second ODI of the three-match series. Batting first, the opening pair of Jason Roy and senior batter Jonny Bairstow provided a bit steady start of 41 runs for the first wicket.

Meanwhile, a collapse happened for the England team and they went on to lose their six wickets only on the score of 146 runs. Yuzvendra Chahal spun the web around the English batters and scalped four wickets by conceding 47 runs.

But the 89-run stand from Moeen Ali and David Willey for the seventh wicket helped England to reach the total of 247 runs somehow. Other than Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya also scalped two wickets each. Whereas Prasidh Krishna and Mohammed Shami went on claim one scalp each.

Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya remained the highest scorers for the team with their respective scores of 29 runs each.

Reece Topley went on to achieve his career-best of six wickets by conceding just 24 runs in 9.5 overs. He also bowled two maiden overs during his bowling.
