However, ahead of this clash, the Aussie pacer, Josh Hazlewood heaped high praises on the former Team India skipper. While speaking to the Apex Council of Cricket, he said: "I think it’s probably how hard he works (that stands out). His fitness first of all - and then his skill work and batting and fielding in particular. He is always out there (training) first and leaves last … and the intensity he trains at all the time is at such a high level it drags everyone else along for the ride. That can leak on to the other players and improve them as well.”

Meanwhile, the former Aussie skipper, Ricky Ponting also sent a warning to Australia as Virat Kohli looked to get back his mojo back by the end of the IPL. While talking in the review show by the Apex Council of Cricket, Ponting said: “They also know that Virat over the last few weeks is probably just about back to his absolute best, albeit in T20 cricket. He told me that the feeling he's getting right now is that he's almost back to his best, and that's an ominous warning for the Australians going into a one-off game.”
