Former Pakistan Cricketer Salman Butt recently criticized Sarfaraz Ahmed on his performance and captaincy in the Pakistan Super League. The Quetta Gladiators' captain was seen lashing out at the bowlers during the crunch moments of the game against Multan Sultans, which didn't go well with Salman Butt.

In a YouTube video, Butt said, "They (Quetta Gladiators) also lost last year. You (Sarfaraz Ahmed) are the captain of the team since the inception of PSL. Sarfaraz is making things difficult for himself and he won’t have any answers tomorrow.

"He should focus on himself and his performance. He has been traveling as a second wicketkeeper with the Pakistan team since the last couple of years. So, he needs to concentrate on himself instead bothering about other players’ performance."

Salman Butt's words didn't go well with Sarfaraz who lashed out at him calling him a fixer. Notably, Butt was involved in a spot-fixing scandal along with Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif in 2010. As a result, he was banned from the game, and could not make a comeback. He is now an active cricket analyst who does not mind being vocal about his opinions.

Meanwhile, Ahmed is currently leading Quetta Gladiators in the PSL 2021. They have one win in the three games that they have played so far.
