‘Paisa jugaad karna suru kar deta hun’ - Fans react as Narendra Modi Stadium reportedly to host India vs Pakistan match in 2023 ODI World Cup

Pakistan are currently busy playing the five-match ODI series at home against New Zealand. While Indian players are busy playing the ongoing IPL for their respective franchises. However, the Asia Cup is scheduled to take place in Pakistan. But, as per recent reports, the tournament might get cancelled as India will not visit Pakistan at any cost.

On the other hand, Pakistan also do not want to host the tournament outside of their country. So, India might host a five-nation tournament in their home without the Men in Green. So, Pakistan might take action as they have to visit India to play in the upcoming ODI World Cup. Regarding that, reports have come out that this high-voltage clash is set to happen in the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

More than 1 Lakh people can witness India vs Pakistan clash at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

This stadium has a seating capacity of more than 1 Lakh people. Hence, the Indian Cricket Board have decided to choose this venue for this clash. The reports also suggested that the tournament will kick off on 5 October 2023. 13 venues have been shortlisted and those are Nagpur, Bengaluru, Trivandrum, Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Rajkot, Indore, Bengaluru, and Dharamshala. However, India might play only in seven venues among these. As per reports, Pakistan are likely to play most of the matches at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, and Chepauk Stadium, Chennai due to security reasons.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh are likely to play most of the matches at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, and Guwahati. It will help fans to travel less from the neighbouring nation. In addition to these, the Board have asked the Team India management about their preferences for matches apart from the Pakistan clash. Reports say that the management have requested to allot matches against Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and England in pitches where it will be slow and spinners will get assistance. So, there is a high possibility that India vs Australia clash can happen at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai.
