England outclass Ireland ahead of Ashes

England went against Ireland in a one-off match where England came out victorious on the back of a great all-round performance. The 4-day Test match was held at Lord's Cricket Ground where England won the toss and decided to bowl first.

After getting Ireland all out just for 172, England posted a huge 524/4d in their first inning taking a huge lead in the process. Ollie Pope came up with a brilliant double century (205 off 208) alongside Ben Duckett who missed his by just 18 runs (182 off 178).

Ireland were blown in England's Baazball storm and could not fight back against the Ben Stokes-led side. Following the win, Stokes became the first-ever captain to win a Test match without batting, bowling or wicketkeeping.

On the other hand, Australia are playing the WTC final against India, wherein they posted 327/3 at the end of the first day's play. The Pat Cummins-led side look strong against what looks like a 'non-ready' Indian side after the IPL.
