Out-of-form Virat Kohli expresses his desire to win World Cup for India

Virat Kohli expressed his desire to win India the upcoming Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup 2022 and 2023 World Cup.

Indian skipper, Virat Kohli ruled world cricket for over a decade by scoring tons of runs across formats. However, the last three years hasn’t been the best ones for the former Indian skipper. It has been close to three years since Kohli has notched a century in any format of the game in international cricket.

He endured one of the worst seasons with the bat in the Indian T20 League 2022 and couldn’t produce substantial performances in the international series which followed thereafter. Virat Kohli was part of India’s team, which played the fifth Test against England and also the T20 series which followed thereafter.

However, he continued getting out on full-length deliveries outside the off-stump. The 33-year-old has been given rest for the ongoing limited over’s tour to West Indies but is likely to be back for the much-anticipated Asia Cup. The critics, however, aren’t too pleased with that as a lot of them believe that he should be replaced with an in-form batter.

India’s current skipper, Rohit Sharma, however, doesn’t believe in dropping Virat Kohli, who has done a lot for the country in the last decade. Amidst that, the most successful Test captain, Virat Kohli, himself, has come forward and expressed his desire to win India the upcoming Asia Cup and the 20-20 World Cup 2022 and 2023 World Cup.

In a statement released by Star Sports on Twitter, Virat Kohli said,

“My main aim is to help India win the Asia Cup and the World Cup and for that, I am ready to do anything for the team,” Kohli told in a statement released by Star Sports on Twitter.

Kohli is currently enjoying quality time with his wife Anushka Sharma and daughter Vamika in Paris. The Bollywood actor recently took to her Instagram and shared pictures of the two enjoying their vacation in Paris. A lot of cricket experts believe that the break would help Kohli to comeback strongly ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup 2022.
