Pakistan haven’t had the best of the starts in the Asia Cup 2022. The Men in Green suffered a defeat at the hands of India in the first game and haven’t got a great start in the ongoing match against Hong Kong.

One big reason behind that is Babar Azam’s failure in the tournament. Bhuvneshwar Kumar accounted for his wicket with a well-directed bouncer in the second match of the tournament.

In the ongoing game against Hong Kong, he got out off Ehsan Khan after scoring just 9 runs in 8 deliveries. Babar Azam came into the tournament with a rich vein of form. However, he hasn’t been able to replicate those performances so far in the tournament.

The Pakistan skipper has managed to score 19 runs in 2 matches so far in the tournament. Following his dismissal against Hong Kong, the netizen didn’t leave the opportunity to troll him for his poor performance with the bat.

Twitter was filled with reactions with regard to Babar Azam’s dismissal on Saturday. Here’s a look at some of them.

Much to Pakistan's respite, they haven’t lost any wicket since Babar Azam’s dismissal. M Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman are currently unbeaten at the crease. At the time of writing, Pakistan have managed to score 75 runs in 11 overs.

M Rizwan and Zaman are unbeaten on 40 (36) and 25 (25) respectively. The winner of the ongoing match will seal the place for the Super Four. The other three teams have already been decided. India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan have sealed their place in their top four.

If Pakistan manage to win the game today, then they will, once again, meet India in match number 2 of the Super Four clash on Sunday at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
