The three-match T20I series between New Zealand and Australia is set to get underway on October 1. This is a massive series between the trans-Tasman rivals, keeping the upcoming T20 World Cup in mind, which will be played in India and Sri Lanka early next year.

The three matches will be played on October 1, October 3 and October 4 at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. All the games of the contest are scheduled to commence at 11:45 AM IST.

As far as the two teams are concerned, Australia have named a strong squad for this series. However, their Test captain Pat Cummins isn’t available due to a back injury and is already racing against time to get fit for the Ashes.

Mitchell Marsh has been named the captain of the team while the 36-year-old Marcus Stoinis has made his comeback and is also in the fray for the World Cup. Glenn Maxwell, Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood’s presence makes this squad look extremely strong.

As for New Zealand, they will miss their captain Mitchell Santner who is injured alongside Finn Allen, Adam Milne, Will O'Rourke, Glenn Phillips and Lockie Ferguson. Kane Williamson has made himself unavailable for this T20I series. Michael Bracewell has been named the captain of the team while Kyle Jamieson and Ben Sears have also made their respective comebacks to the squad.

Youngster Bevon Jacobs has kept his place after an impressive debut against South Africa in Zimbabwe while Tim Seifert and Tim Robinson have retained their spots as well.

Sony Pictures Network India signed the seven-year deal last year with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to broadcast all the cricket played in the country in India. Accordingly, Sony Sports Network will telecast the T20I series in India and the live streaming will be available on SonyLIV app and website.

At the same time, Amazon Prime Video will also stream the T20I series between Australia and New Zealand live on its platform in India.
