Regular Indian skipper Rohit Sharma is currently on a break from international cricket due to an injury in his left thumb that he sustained during the second of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. He had to fly back to Mumbai for a consultation with the doctors.
Subsequently, the 35-year-old had also been ruled out of the Test series against Bangladesh due to the time taken in his recovery from the injury.
Recently, Rohit was spotted doing a party alongside his wife Ritika Sajdeh, and some other friends. The Indian skipper took to his Instagram to share a photograph from the party.
Rohit’s Instagram story didn’t go down well with a section of the Indian cricket fans and they took no time in lashing out at him for being irresponsible towards national duties and partying during the recovery phase. They took to Twitter to come up with some harsh remarks from the Mumbai batter.
Here’s how fans reacted:

On this day in 2021, Kane Williamson and his team beat India to become the inaugural #WTC winners 👏
Notably, the Indian skipper has suffered a lot due to injuries throughout the calendar year of 2022. Due to these injuries, he has been switched on and off in and out of the team. Meanwhile, the veteran Mumbai batter has also registered an unwanted record to his name as he hasn’t scored even a single century during the entire year of 2022.
Interestingly, it is the first time for Rohit since 2013 when he failed to touch the three-figure mark in either of the formats of the game. Subsequently, the fans trolled him and also went a bit harsh to say that the Indian skipper’s international career is finished.
