Netherlands and Ireland will kick off the three-match ODI series at the Sportpark Maarschalkerweerd in Utrecht on June 2.

The hosts, Netherlands are coming back from a hard-fought series against Scotland. After winning the first ODI by 15 runs, Netherlands went down in the second ODI by 6 wickets.

Ireland, on the other hand, haven't played ODI cricket since they took Afghanistan in January this year. They, however, didn't had a favourable outing and lost all three matches. 

A teams of both countries squared off last month in a List A series. Ireland won the series 2-1. A lot of the players who were part of the series have made it to the senior teams thus the series promises to deliver some cracking encounters.

Owing to the COVID-19 situation, the series will be played behind closed doors.
