The stage is getting set for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at M Chinnaswamy Stadium as they will take on each other on 17 April 2023 in the ongoing IPL. Fans are eagerly waiting to see MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli on the field together after a long time.

However, MS Dhoni has been having a good tournament so far with the bat. However, there were some clouds over his participation in this upcoming match due to his knee injury. But, as of now, he is going to play. Now, ahead of the clash, a video has gone viral where Dhoni was smacking big sixes during a net session.

Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media. After the last game against RR, MS Dhoni was seen limping off the field. So, fans are still concerned about whether he will play the match or not. However, as per quotes by PTI,  the CSK CEO, Kasi Viswanathan said: “I don’t think he will miss the game, but we will have to wait and see till tomorrow evening”. As quoted by the Times of India, CSK assistant coach, Michael Hussey said: “I think it has been ongoing for a long time. He has been managing it as possibly as he can. He seems to be getting okay."   

MS Dhoni has shown some power-hitting skills so far in this ongoing tournament. In four matches, Dhoni is averaging 58 and he has managed to hit six sixes. He has batted at a strike rate of 214.81. So, fans will hope for another top cameo innings from the CSK skipper. Meanwhile, the former team India batter, Sunil Gavaskar also said that under Dhoni’s captaincy, CSK know how to get out of pressure situations. While speaking on Star Sports' Cricket Live Show, Gavaskar said: "Chennai Super Kings know how to get out of tough situations. This has been possible only under MS Dhoni's captaincy".
