The Nepal Women’s T20I series is set to begin on 30 January 2025. Hosts Nepal will compete alongside the Netherlands and Thailand in this tournament, with the final scheduled for 8 February. All matches will be held at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. This marks the first-ever women's tri-nation international series hosted by Nepal.
The tournament will follow a triple round-robin format, where each team plays the others three times. The top two teams with the most points at the end of the round-robin stage will battle in the final. Strong squads from all three teams have been announced, promising an exciting contest for cricket fans.
In terms of form, Nepal recently participated in the Women’s Asia Cup. They managed a win against the UAE but suffered defeats to Pakistan and India. Thailand, on the other hand, enters the tournament on a high after winning a series against Namibia, Hong Kong, and China. In the Women’s Asia Cup, they defeated Malaysia but lost to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The Netherlands comes into the series with mixed results. They suffered two losses against Scotland in their most recent outings but had earlier been on a three-match winning streak, beating Papua New Guinea twice and Scotland once.
