Asian Cricket Council’s (ACC) emergency meeting took place on 4 February in Bahrain. After that, reports came out that the tournament might get shifted to UAE from Pakistan. Regarding that, the former Pakistan Cricketer, Javed Miandad slammed India for their approach in a recent public event.
He said: “India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan to play cricket. I’ve always backed Pakistan. And you know that I don’t leave spare India whenever an issue arises. But the thing is we need to look at our part. And we should fight for it.” Miandad even added that India have the fear of losing against the Men in Green in Pakistan.

“Everywhere around the world, neighbouring countries are playing with each other,” – Javed Miandad
After hearing such brutal comments from the former Pakistan great, Indian fans went crazy and slammed him on social media platforms. Now, he shared a video on his official Twitter account where Javed Miandad was seen clarifying the statement. He said: “Do you know what hell means? If you don’t want to play just don’t. We don’t have a problem. Ask the Indian cricketers. They’ll also say that there should be cricket between these two teams in their respective countries. It’ll benefit both nations.”
“If they think that their (India) not coming to Pakistan makes any difference, let me tell you that it doesn’t. That’s what I meant. We are independent. Pakistan has produced world-class cricketers as well as hockey players. Everywhere around the world, neighbouring countries are playing with each other. Earlier we used to go there and then they used to come here. When India came to play a series in Pakistan, there were so many people from India who also came to watch. There were no hotels available and the Lahore residents invited them to their houses. It had a very good impact on the relationships between the two countries,” Javed Miandad concluded.
He shared the video with a caption: “India can go to hell if they don’t want to come to Pakistan to play cricket. #cricket unites peoples, this is welcoming message for Indian team come and play in #Pakistan. Our GDP is 152/0”. Fans also noticed the cheeky dig he took by mentioning their GDP as 152/0. It is the same runs that Pakistan chased against India in the 2021 20-20 World Cup and registered their first victory over the arch-rivals in any World Cup.
