Former India skipper MS Dhoni is one of the richest cricketers in the world who can afford whatever medical services he wants. However, he chose to get treated by a local Ayurveda doctor in Lapung village. The village is 70 km away from Ranchi, which is the hometown of Dhoni. The former India skipper is having some trouble with his knee recently.

According to a report on Dainik Bhaskar, the three-time World Championship-winning skipper goes to the village every four days. Notably, the charge to get the treatment from the doctor is 40 rupees - 20 rupees as fees and 20 more for the medication. Given the kind of money the Ranchi player has earned during his career, this is way too affordable for him.

The name of the doctor is Vandan Singh Kherwar, who is famous in the region for his ayurvedic treatment. He treats his patients using plants, herbs and other natural ingredients. It is to important to know that MS Dhoni's parents got treatment from the same doctor as they had the knee problem as well. The 40-year-old certainly have broken the stereotype revolving around Ayurveda.

Apparently, society looks down upon this kind of medication. The reason for that is people think that only those people resort to the ancient form of medication who don't have enough money. This is the reason people with less means take the modern form of medicine. Meanwhile, the four-time Indian T20 League winning skipper has been one of the fittest players in the game.

However, that doesn't mean he will not get health issues. His fans might be worried for his health as he is supposed to be part of Chennai franchise next year. This year, the cash-rich league was played only in Maharashtra, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad as a precaution measure against COVID -19. Next year, the league might be played in different parts of India just like it used to happened before Covid-19 arrived.
