The talismanic skipper, one of the greatest cricketers to have graced the cricket field, Mahendra Singh Dhoni turned 40 today. The legendary figure who won India three ICC trophies, including two World Cups, is said to have laid the foundation of a strong Indian unit that is ruling world cricket today. Dhoni burst onto the scene as a dasher, someone who can tonk big but transformed himself as a dependable batsman, one of the greatest when it comes to chasing.

On the celebrated occasion of his birthday, the cricket fraternity extended their wishes to the iconic cricketer. The International Cricket Council (ICC) shared a video on their Twitter account to pay tribute to MSD. In the video, ICC compiled a list of Dhoni’s finest decisions on the cricket field.

The video included a moment from 2012 T20 WC when MS Dhoni decided to stand up to the wickets after Luke Wright smashed Irfan Pathan for a boundary. The move worked wonders as Wright was adjudged LBW soon. It also included Dhoni’s decision to give Joginder Sharma the final over of the 2007 T20 World Cup final against Pakistan. Also, features a clip when MSD promoted himself ahead of the inform Yuvraj Singh in the 2011 CWC final against Sri Lanka among others.
