Virat Kohli's decision to step down as India's Test captain took the world by storm. However, the entire cricketing fraternity congratulated him for his amazing achievements as India's skipper in the longest format of the game. Under his leadership, the Asian side developed a fast bowling culture and became a ruthless unit.

This led to a new era, which saw the emergence of several talented pacers from India. Among them, Mohammed Siraj happens to be one of the brightest fast bowlers in the country. While it is no secret that Kohli has played a big role in shaping up his career, the pacer recently wrote a heartwarming message for his "superhero".

Siraj took to Instagram to thank his former captain and RCB teammate for always believing in him. The 27-year-old referred to Kohli as his elder brother and thanked him for his continuous support.

"To my superhero, I cannot be thankful enough for the support and the encouragement that I got from you. You have always been my great brother. Thank you for trusting me and believing in me for all these years. For seeing the great at my worst. You will always be my captain King Kohli," read Mohammed Siraj's caption. In the post, he added a picture of him and Kohli.

Besides, the Hyderabad pacer has never shied away from appreciating the batting maestro. Even on his 33rd birthday, Siraj called him his "elder brother" in a post. It is to be noted that Siraj made his debut under Kohli and was massively backed by him.

“Not everyone is as lucky as me to be blessed with an elder brother like you. Thank you so much for coming into my life and standing by my side through thick and thin. I hope you get all that you truly deserve. Happy Birthday king," read his birthday post on Kohli. The 33-year-old won't be a captain in any of the three formats, but will continue to play as a player for India.
