Indian cricketing corridors are currently feeling the warmth of the discussion on the hot topics of the opening combination of India for the upcoming 20-20 World Cup 2022. This discussion has become a prime concern among the former cricketers and experts of the game. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma happened to make it very clear ahead of the three-match T20I series against Australia that Indian management will be flexible while deciding the openers in the eighth edition of the World Cup.

Apart from all the discussion, a video is making rounds on social media. A TV anchor can be seen in the video doing a big mistake while talking about the opening combination of team India. He mistakenly named the Indian politician Rahul Gandhi as the opener of team India instead of KL Rahul.

The video went viral within minutes of being shared on social media Twitter by a user. Fans took no time in coming up with their creative sense of humor on this mistake by the anchor on air on national television.

“Team India captain has said Rahul Gandhi will open at the T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli may also have to open in several matches,” said the anchor while talking about the combination of the Indian team.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the mistake done by the anchor:

Speaking about Rohit Sharma’s statement then he went on to say that KL Rahul will open in a few games of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Whereas the management might also count on the former skipper and senior batter Virat Kohli to open the innings for the team in the marquee tournament.

The Indian team is coming out of a poor outing in the recently-concluded Asia Cup 2022. The men in blue were knocked out of the tournament after losing two consecutive matches in the super-4 round against Pakistan and then Sri Lanka. Although, they finished on a winning note in the dead rubber against Afghanistan.
