So far, the ongoing mega auction for the Indian T20 league has been really exciting, to say the least. While some players ended up making a fortune, some teams ended up getting world-class players for an absolute steal. The fourth round saw a lot of action.

First things first, T Natrajan returned to his previous franchise as Hyderabad managed to purchase him for INR 4 crore. At a base price of INR 1 crore, the orange army beat Gujarat and won the bid for the Tamil Nadu pacer. After which, several teams engaged in a massive bidding war for Deepak Chahar.

At the end, Chennai managed to acquire his services for INR 14 crore. This is the first time the defending champions have ever spent over INR 10 crore for an individual in an auction. Lockie Ferguson and Mark Wood, who were arguably the most hyped overseas pacers ahead of the mega auction, were then purchased by the two new teams, that is Gujarat and Lucknow for 10 crore and 7.5 respectively.

All eyes were then on Prasidh Krishna, who won the player of the series award during the recently concluded three-match one-day series against West Indies. Rajasthan managed to buy him for a whopping amount of INR 10 crore. Another name that appeared in this round was the veteran, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Hyderabad ended up getting him back for INR 4.2 crore. In what can then be called an absolute steal, Mustafizur Rahman was purchased for his base price for Delhi at INR 2 crore. On the other hand, after a mega-bidding war for Shardul Thakur, the Pant-led side got the magical all-rounder for INR 10.75 crore.

As far as the spinners go, Yuzvendra Chahal will be seen playing for Rajasthan as they got him for INR 6.2 crore. On the other hand, Kuldeep Yadav was bagged by Delhi for just INR 2 crore. Last but not the least, Punjab acquired the services of Rahul Chahar for INR 5.25 crore. Shockingly, a few top-class players went unsold in this round. Them being Adil Rashid, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Adam Zampa, Imran Tahir, Umesh Yadav and Amit Mishra.
