Pakistan’s batting, which always grabs eyeballs for all the wrong reasons, managed to hit the right notes in the 20-20 World Cup. Players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Asif Ali, and Shoaib Malik clicked in unison and consistently helped Pakistan post competitive scores. Rizwan and Babar also managed to notch up two hundred plus partnerships in the tournament. Hayden fell in love with the culture and spirituality of the Pakistan Cricket Team during his stay.

"Assalam o alaikum Pakistan! I am in Brisbane at the moment and completing my isolation period here but my heart is beating with all the players and support staff of the Pakistan cricket team in Dhaka," he posted.

"I wish all the best of luck to the Pakistan cricket team, Come on Champs, you can do it, Pakistan Zindabad," he added.

Hayden didn’t extend the contract with Pakistan Men’s team. He was roped in along with Vernon Philander for the 20-20 World Cup by PCB chairman Ramiz Raja. The duo had a fruitful stint with Pakistan as it helped the team reach the semifinals of the showpiece event. Philander has extended his stay with the team and will now leave after the first Test against Bangladesh.
