India and England are locking horns in the second semi-final of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. English skipper Jos Buttler has won the flip of the coin and asked the Indians to bat first at the mixed-supportive turf of Adelaide Oval in Adelaide. Following two half-centuries against lower-ranked teams like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh, the senior Indian opener and vice-captain has failed again to deliver up to the expectations in an all-important match for his team.

The 32-year-old could score only 5 runs off five with one boundary and fell prey to the English pacer Chris Woakes in the second over of the Indian innings. Notably, KL Rahul had a very poor run of form with the bat in the tournament before India’s last super-12 matches against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.

Indian cricket fans are also in angst over the Karnataka batter for his failure in such an important match for India in the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup. They took to Twitter for lashing out at KL following his early departure in the second semi-final of the tournament.

Here’s how fans reacted to KL Rahul’s other failure on a big day:

Earlier, Pakistan outclassed Kane Williamson’s New Zealand to make a cut to the final of the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.
