LSG vs MI Weather Report at Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow

Lucknow Super Giants will be facing Mumbai Indians in the 16th match of the season at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on March 4. Mumbai and Lucknow have won a game each from the three games they have played so far and occupy fifth and sixth place, respectively.

Lucknow had faced Punjab Kings in their last encounter where they came out to bat first. They struggled right from the first over as they kept losing wickets regularly. A few decent partnerships from the middle order meant they reached 171 runs, but the score proved to be too low as Punjab batters were right on the money. They won the game by eight wickets with 22 balls to spare.

Mumbai played against Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous game, where they invited Kolkata to bat first and decimated them with their bowling. The debutant Ashwani broke the back of Kolkata’s batting, and they could only make 116 before getting bowled out. A steady start from Mumbai and then a majestic finish from Surya meant Mumbai won the game by eight wickets with more than seven overs to spare.

Ekana Stadium's pitches are known for helping bowlers, especially spinners and those who depend on variation. Although there have been some games with outstanding bowling performances, the previous IPL season had surprising outcomes that kept teams guessing. It's unclear if the surface will continue to present a challenge to batters or offer a more evenly matched bat-ball fight as the 2025 season progresses.

AccuWeather predicts that Lucknow's Ekana Stadium will be approximately 37°C, with a genuine feel of precisely 38°C during the day and 21°C at night. Meanwhile, the wind will blow from the southeast at a range of 11 to 15 km/h with gusts of 30 to 39 km/h. As a result, even though the weather will be perfect for an exciting evening cricket match, players will encounter humid conditions at the stadium.

Even though there is just a 5% possibility of cloud cover at Lucknow's Ekana Stadium, AccuWeather says there is no chance of precipitation. The fans will, therefore, most likely watch an uninterrupted match between MI and LSG.
