Pakistan will have only themselves to blame for the ongoing drama in the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Amid all the chaos, many former cricketers lashed out at Babar Azam for making visible errors as the captain of the team and also took a dig at the batting order for their conscious approach early in the innings.

Salman Butt, who was unhappy with Pakistan batters’ performance in the recently concluded clash against Zimbabwe on October 27, Thursday, said that the batters need to take a look at a team’s batters who have been doing exceptionally well in the showpiece event.
Comparing the Pakistani batters to Indian giant Virat Kohli and star batter Suryakumar Yadav, Butt said that Babar’s men will have to take a look at the Indian stars and learn from them at the earliest.
“If you want to learn from a high-skilled batter, look at Virat Kohli. He was not out today as well. The six which he hit over covers (vs Netherlands) at the SCG, that was the second shot of the tournament. The six against Pakistan, and now vs Netherlands. Both are shots of the tournament. Look at the finesse and quality. He was in top form, but he didn't show any unnecessary eagerness to score runs,” Butt said on his YouTube channel.

Lauding Kohli for his valiant innings against Pakistan and Netherlands, Butt said that the duo made the maximum use of the larger grounds in Australia and added that they sneaked singles and doubles whenever possible.
“When one player is taking the risks, the other one, if he is sensible plays second fiddle. They are actually the top two batters in the world. But, Virat batted sensibly without thinking that I won the previous match and I'm the number one batter. As long as Rohit Sharma kept going, he batter with ease. He picked up the pace for some time, but changed the gear again once Suryakumar Yadav came out,” Butt said on his channel.
“Look at the shots of Virat and Suryakumar. Those were proper cricketing shots. They were playing with the field by rotating strikes and finding the gaps once the fielders were up in the circle. They were pre-empting the deliveries and setting the field for themselves,” he added.
