Qalandars needed 30 runs to win from 12 balls before Wiese and Dunk turned on the beast mode and smashed Mohammad Amir for 20 runs (3 Fours and a Six) to bring the equation down to 10 of the last over. Wiese then hit two sixes of Daniel Christian to seal a comprehensive win.

At 33-3 in the 5th over, things were not looking good for Qalandars but Ben Dunk and Fakhar Zaman stitched a 119 run stand for the fourth wicket to get the innings back on track. Fakhar’s 54 ball 83 was studded with 8 fours and 4 sixes while Ben Dunk fetched 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Earlier, Karachi Kings posted a solid 188-9 in the quota of 20 overs. Sharjeel Khan carried on his good run and smacked a brutal 39 ball 64. He along with Mohammed Nabi(57 of 35) helped Karachi recover from 37-3. Once Nabi was dismissed in the 16th over, Karachi suffered a mini collapse, losing their final 4 wickets for 27 runs. Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers returned with figures of 3-27 in 4 overs.

The win has pushed Lahore Qalandars to the 2nd spot in the points table, behind Peshawar Zalmi and above Karachi Kings.
