Kandy Warriors will be up against Colombo Stars in match 15 of the Lanka Premier League (LPL). The Warriors have had a tough season so far, with four losses from five games. Their opponents, Stars have also been ordinary, with two wins and three losses from five matches. Fair to say both the teams have not shown the required consistency and have found wanting against the top placed teams.

The Warriors are coming from a seven-wicket loss against Jaffna Kings. Their batters scored 94 runs in 12.2 before the rain reduced the match and changed the equation. The wet outfield made the task easier for the Kings who chased the target with eight balls to spare. Barring the one game against Dambulla Giants, wherein their batters posted 170, the team has struggled to post decent totals. The bowling has also looked a bit incisive. 

Meanwhile, the Stars are coming off a win over the Galle Gladiators. It was a commanding performance by skipper Angelo Matthews who led from the front and scored 73. In the bowling, Naveen-ul-Haq picked three wickets. The team will take confidence from the win and will look to ride on the momentum and fetch a few more wins.
