Lanka Premier League 2021: Match 6: Colombo Stars vs Dambulla Giants: Preview

Match six of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) will see Colombo Stars taking on Dambulla Giants. The stars are coming off from a close four-wicket victory in their first match. It was a good collective performance from the team. The bowlers did their part by keeping Galle Gladiators to 110. Dhananjaya de Silva was excellent with the ball and picked up two wickets for 18 runs. Other bowlers like Dushmantha Chameera and Akila Dananjaya also did well.

On the other hand, the Giants suffered an eight-wicket loss against Jaffna Kings. The Giants could post only 110, with none of the batters showing any resistance against Kings' bowlers. There was no venom in the bowling as well as Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Avishaka Fernando saw off the run-chase inside 15 overs. The likes of Phil Salt, Nirosha Dickwella and Najibullah Zadran need to take the onus of taking the team to a big score.
