During the third One-Day International between India and Australia in Chennai, Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian batsman, set an unfortunate record by becoming the first Indian cricketer to score three consecutive golden ducks in three consecutive innings. Yadav was dismissed on the first ball in each of the three matches played in Mumbai, Visakhapatnam, and Chennai.

In Mumbai and Visakhapatnam, Yadav was trapped leg before by Mithcell Starc, while in Chennai, he was castled by Ashton Agar. To combat his poor performance, Yadav was demoted in the batting order for the third ODI, coming out to bat at number six, having previously batted at number four in the first two matches.

This dismal record was previously held by Sachin Tendulkar, who had been dismissed for three consecutive ducks off the second delivery during a test series in 1994. Yadav’s inability to score runs in the series raises concerns for the Indian team as they prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Despite this poor run of form, Yadav is a talented batsman with an impressive track record in domestic cricket, and it is likely that he will regain his form in future matches. The Indian team will be hopeful that he bounces back quickly and helps them win important matches in the future.

Cricket fans however have responded in the same brutal manner that they always do. Twitter is currently filled with memes and jokes about Suryakumar Yadav’s poor run of form.
