Right after India lost to England in the knockouts of the ongoing 20-20 World Cup 2022 on November 10, Thursday, people from Pakistan have been taking a dig at India and the Indian T20 League. Many Pakistani fans took to their social media accounts to troll Indian players while a few went over the board saying that the most famous league did nothing to the Indian players.

Ramiz Raja, the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), took a dig at the Indian team and said that a few teams with a billion-dollar cricket industry have been left behind in the ongoing showpiece event in Australia. Notably, Pakistan will face off against England in the finals on Sunday at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground and it remains to see if the Men in Green would seal the trophy after a wait of 13 years

“Pakistan has left world cricket behind. There are teams with billion-dollar cricket industry who have been surpassed by Pakistan in T20 World Cup,” Raja was quoted as saying. The Indian cricket fans are known for their presence on social media and they left no stone unturned to hit back at the PCB chief.

The statement from the PCB’s chief, however, did not go well with the Indian fans who claimed that Raja must stop comparing the two nations and added that the chief must focus on Pakistan alone. A few even claimed that Indian cricket is capable of making a comeback and said that the Men in Blue would make a strong comeback in the next edition.

Further, the PCB chief lauded Babar Azam for his excellency with the leadership and said that he is evolving over time. Notably, Babar’s men made it to the semi-finals of the 2021 20-20 World Cup and are all set to take on England in the finals in the ongoing edition.

“Babar Azam is improving as a captain beyond expectations. He has a golden opportunity to leave a legacy behind by winning T20 WorldCup for Pakistan,” Raja was quoted as saying. As things stand, let us take a look at a few Twitter reactions to the statement from Raja:
