The incident happened on the very first ball of the 16th over in the second innings when Beau Webster was facing Renegades’ bowler Tom Rogers. The latter delivered a ball that got a good connection with Webster’s willow and he smashed the ball high that eventually ended up hitting the retracted roof in the stadium.

According to the new rules of cricket and the playing conditions at the moment, the umpire declared it as a six.

Although, this rule and the way of claiming a six didn’t go down well with the cricket fans and they immediately called it as an ‘unfair one’ for the bowlers. The fans reacted both on Twitter and Instagram where the BBL posted the official video of this moment.
