Fans were left shocked to see ‘King Kohli’ help the Police solve the mystery. As per the Police, the words ‘King Kohli’ on the rear side of an autorickshaw helped them to find the culprits. Kamala N Rao aka Kamalamma used to live in her home at Mahalakshmipuram. Her body was found in the house with her hands and feet tied and her mouth covered with tape. However, Police claimed that the murder took place on 27 May.

The accused persons are Siddaraju C M, 34, Plumber R Ashok, 40, of Laggere, and C Anjanamurthy, 33, of Kamakshipalya. A Police source said: “Ashok visited Kamala’s house for plumbing works and noticed that she was living alone. Her husband had passed away last October. A few days ago, he revealed it to the other accused at a bar. Siddaraju then agreed to rob Kamala’s gold ornaments to repay their debts.”

The investigation officer said that CCTV footage helped them in tracking down the accused persons. He said: “We took the visuals near Kamala’s residence and noticed an autorickshaw doing several rounds on the same road during the morning. We found that the autorickshaw had the words ‘King Kohli’, but no registration number.”

“We then followed its movements earlier that morning and CCTV footage showed Anjanamurthy removing the vehicle’s number plate. Soon, we found the autorickshaw’s registration number and the arrests were made based on it. The words ‘King Kohli’ helped us zero in on the vehicle,” the officer concluded. Meanwhile, Kohli is currently in England as he is getting prepared for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia, starting from 7-11 June.
