'King gifted me paaji' : Virat Kohli gifts Shubman Gill classy wristwatch

After witnessing Shubman Gill’s sensational match-winning knock for Gujarat against Delhi, Kolkata would have regretted their decision to release him from the squad prior to the mega auction. Opening the batting for Gujarat, Gill looked solid right from the start of his innings against Delhi. Gill played aggressively from the onset of his innings and went on to score an outstanding knock of 84 runs in 46 balls, a knock which was laced with 6 fours and 4 sixes.

His superb innings helped the team reach a formidable score of 171 runs in 20 overs. Gujarat, later, restricted Delhi to 157 runs and, thereby, won the game by 14 runs. Shubman Gill’s knock will give a lot of confidence to him as well as the team.

Recently, Gill posted a picture on his social media handle which garnered a lot of attention from the fans. “Do I have your attention now”, Gill wrote in his caption.

In the photo, Gill could be seen wearing a stylish wristwatch. India’s former skipper, Virat Kohli seemed to have liked the watch a lot. He even left a comment which read, “ “Nice watch. Kitthon litti?”

To this, Gill replied, “@virat.Kohli hahah a king gifted me paaji,” Gill reacted.

From the conversation, it seemed Shubman Gill referred to Virat Kohli as the king and it was Kohli himself who gifted him the watch. Gujarat’s skipper Hardik Pandya also wrote, “Yes” in the comment section.

Meanwhile, Gujarat have made an outstanding start to Indian T20 League 2022 season. Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, the franchise have managed to win both the games they have played thus far. Gujarat are scheduled to play their next match against Punjab on Friday at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.
