Rohit Sharma is toiling hard to get prepared for the upcoming Indian T20 League season as he will be leading the Mumbai franchise. After a terrible last season, fans will hope for a better performance this time around from Rohit and his men. Now, he came up with a statement about MS Dhoni during the pre-season press conference.

As per reports, this upcoming edition of the tournament will be the last time when MS Dhoni will be in action as the Chennai player. Regarding that, Rohit Sharma said that Dhoni is fit enough to play for 2-3 more years. He said: “I've been hearing for the last 2-3 years that this is going to be MS Dhoni's last season. I think he is fit enough to play a few more seasons".

Listening to that statement, some fans went crazy and trolled Rohit for his fitness. Rohit Sharma’s fitness has been a concern. Due to that, he has missed several matches and series for team India. Now, reports have come out that Rohit Sharma is looking to skip a few matches in the tournament to manage his workload ahead of the major tournaments for team India. He wants to play both the WTC final and the ODI World Cup without any injury.

On the other hand, MS Dhoni is currently busy having intense net sessions for the next edition of the tournament for the Chennai franchise. Rohit also opened up about captaining the Mumbai franchise for a long time by now. “Captaining and playing for the Mumbai franchise into the 10th year, it has been a special journey & created lots of memorable moments,” Rohit Sharma added. Mumbai will kick off their season against the Bangalore franchise on 2 April at the Cinnaswamy stadium.
