Kevin Pietersen trolls Anushka Sharma –
Anushka Sharma took to Instagram to post a message for Virat Kohli on the occasion of his 35th birthday. The Bollywood actress posted a rather interesting stat when Virat Kohli dismissed former English batter Kevin Pietersen.
During India’s tour of England in 2011, Virat Kohli had Kevin Pietersen stumped by MS Dhoni. What made this feat special was the fact that it was a wide-ball making Kohli the only player to pick a wicket without bowling a legal delivery.
Kevin Pietersen was quick to spot this and replied to Anushka Sharma when he wrote “The caption should be- Thank you Kevin for looking out for my husband”. The funny post from the former English skipper had garnered over 3000 likes.
On many occasions, Virat Kohli has spoken about the dismissal of Kevin Pietersen. The two players share a good bond since their stint together with the IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Virat Kohli made his birthday special with yet another fantastic knock on a tricky wicket in Kolkata. The former Indian skipper was on the cusp of his 49th ODI century to put him on par with Sachin Tendulkar. India is the only side that is unbeaten having won all 7 games so far in the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament.
