The Kerala Cricket League (KCL 2025) will return for its second season and is scheduled from August 21 to September 7, 2025. On August 8, Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas appeared in a promotional film released by the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) to announce the event.

Kerala’s biggest cricketing star, Sanju Samson, will be playing in the KCL 2025 for the first time, providing a huge boost to the tournament. Samson has signed up with Kochi Blue Tigers, who bought him for INR 26.80 lakhs in the player auction.
The other five participating teams in the competition are Alleppey Ripples, Trivandrum Royals, Aries Kollam Sailors, Calicut Globstars, and Thrissur Titans.
The tournament will follow a double-league format, with each team playing the other five sides twice. At the end of the league stage, the top four teams will progress to the knockout rounds. The KCL 2025 final is scheduled to be held in Thiruvananthapuram on September 7.
